Tower Defense
WaspBuster
A browser tower-defence game where wasps swarm your picnic and carry off the fruit. You build and upgrade weapons to stop them before ten slices are gone. It is an open homage to the Flash game AntBuster, and the economy in particular is modelled on it.

Eleven weapons, each with its own upgrade tree
You buy from eleven archetypes rather than one starter turret: Gun ($40), Autocannon ($70), Frost ($100), Marksman ($110), Poison ($120), Flame ($140), Zapper ($150), Artillery ($180), Wind ($190), Arc ($220) and Support ($250). Every weapon then grows along its own branching tree through ranks 1 to 10, gaining roughly 25% damage and 8% range per rank.
Forks that change what a weapon is
At rank 3 and again at rank 7 a weapon reaches a fork and you choose a branch, which specialises it into a different weapon rather than just a bigger one. A Cannon can become long-range Artillery or a battery-powered Zapper; an Arc can become a focused Laser or chain-lightning Tesla. Branches you have never built stay locked in the upgrade view until you discover them.
Batteries and support
Some branches run on a battery that recharges slowly on its own - Zapper and Wind among them. You can pay to refill one instantly when a wave is on top of you, or place a Support weapon's Solar branch nearby to recharge neighbours passively. Later ranks increase both capacity and efficiency.
Four kinds of wasp
Normal wasps are the baseline. Scouts are fast and fragile. Shielded wasps are armoured, slow and high-HP, and punish weapons with poor single-target damage. Carriers steal two pieces of fruit at once, so letting one through costs double.
How to play
- Tap or drag a weapon from the menu onto the grass to place it.
- Click a placed weapon to see its stats, then cycle its targeting: Closest, First, or Strongest.
- Drag a weapon back to the menu to cancel before you commit the money.
- Protect the fruit - lose ten slices and the picnic is over.
